WTF? Or, more politely, You're joking, right?

I can't believe it. I just read on A Cup of Jo about the police officer in New York that allegedly had a problem with this young lady riding her bike while wearing a skirt. As this story continues, the officer's rationale for stopping this young lady was that she was a distraction to motorists, and therefore, quite dangerous. (italics mine.) Ironically, the bike rider was in town for the New Amsterdam Bike Show, and is a bike company general manager in Holland. No ticket was issued, but she was reprimanded. Huh!



In the good old fashioned "Let's give 'em a little hell" style, a skirt-wearing, bide riding protest of sorts ensued, with even men wearing skirts! Pedal on!
